Russian born, Detroit raised Karl Jungquist is a director known for award-winning narrative short films, music videos, and branded content.
Studying Directing at Chapman University allowed him to form a strong narrative background with a unique visual storytelling approach. Blending surreal visuals with grounded emotion, his versatility as a director has allowed for frequent work with renowned artists such as Marshmello, grandson, G-Eazy, Krewella, and MarMar Oso.
Doubling as a skilled editor, he is able to elevate his work in post production. This has led to collaborations with brands including Nike, Adidas, Mercedes, Fujifilm, Apple Music, L’oreal Paris, and Bose.
Karl’s 2018 film, Waxwing, was awarded the Audience Award at the National Film Festival for Talented Youth. His 2019 film, Wildfall, was nominated for a Best Picture Jury Prize at the same festival the following year.
